Keyman Personnel is excited to be recruiting on behalf of our leading client. Following the award of the Suffolk highways maintenance contract, we are seeking a diligent and proactive Permitter to enhance their programme team.

Role Overview:
The successful candidate will work closely with both the Programme Manager and Operational teams. Your role will ensure the planning, permitting, and licensing of works align with the Suffolk Council Permit Scheme for Road and Street Works and the New Roads and Streetworks Act Code of Practice.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensuring compliance with Streetworks legislation as Suffolk Highways.
• Leading performance reporting against legislative timeframes and KPIs for Permitting and Licensing.
• Keeping abreast and understanding changes to legislation and codes of practice, escalating to management as necessary.
• Collaborating with the Performance Team to develop reports and dashboards for monitoring permit and licence application performance.
• Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with Permitting processes and procedures.
• Developing and delivering training on permits, licences, and code of practice applications.
• Strategically coordinating and delivering works to maximise network occupancy and traffic management.
• Supporting the Programme Manager in responding to enquiries and complaints within set timeframes.
• Managing inspections by the Suffolk Council Traffic and Network Management Team in line with internal processes.
• Processing Streetworks permits in line with best practices and legislative requirements.

Key Skills and Experience:
• Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to influence.
• Strong team working abilities and excellent collaboration skills.
• Superior communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Knowledge of the Traffic Management Act (Streetworks Noticing).
• Proficient in Street Manager and associated processes.
• Familiarity with Suffolk's geography and road network.
• Skilled in using reporting tools like PowerBI and Asta PowerProject planning software.
