Role Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Freelance Bookkeeper to manage our client’s financial transactions and records. The successful candidate will ensure accuracy in accounting practices, contribute to financial planning, and provide support for financial audits and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
• Reconciling sales, purchase, and nominal ledgers.
• Managing accounts payable and receivable.
• Processing invoices and following up with clients, suppliers, and partners as needed.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Preparing financial reports, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
• Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning.
• Conducting periodic financial audits and providing support during external audits.
• Ensuring that all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.

Key Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably within the utilities sector.
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero).
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant qualifications in bookkeeping or accounting are preferred.
