Job Description



An integral part of a small but busy projects team, helping with the day-to-day running of the contract’s management, qs’ing, procurement and administration. Tasks include but are not limited to:
• Reviewing tendered documents to ascertain sub-contractor and material requirements.
• Liaise with Contracts Director and Site Foreman to insure sub-contractors and long lead materials are place in time. (Builders Supplies are done directly by the Foreman.
• Check measures and quants using electronic software to insure client BOQ or Estimator’s quantities are appropriate for the works.
• Research new products, check bespoke design works to insure it meets the client briefs prior to placing orders.
• Assisting the Contracts Director in completing programmes using CS Project (training will be provided)
• Raising purchase orders using accounts software (Eque2)
• Monitor actual costs vs estimated costs and do reports to highlight variances.
• Negotiating best price before ordering high value items / sub-contractors
• General administration, setting up project files after a project is awarded. Make sure latest drawings are printed and sent to site for construction.
• Assisting the Contracts Director and Foremen by helping with completion of valuations at the end of each month as well as seeking quotation for extra works
• Keeping files up to date (both on server and hard copy)

Skills:
• Excellent communication to all levels of staff, management, suppliers and clients
• Knowledge of landscape elements & materials
• Should have experience of an administrative environment working for various people at the same time
• Extremely organised and able to work to deadlines
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel including intermediate knowledge to work on spreadsheets
• Knowledge of Sage or Eque2 an advantage

Hours: Full Time Mon-Fri
Salary: Dependent on experience and hours
