Company Overview: Our client is a well-established Main Contractor Construction company renowned for their expertise in delivering high-quality construction projects across the United Kingdom. Responsibilities:
Oversee the full lifecycle of construction projects, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Review and negotiate contracts, including terms and conditions, to protect the interests of the company.
Prepare and manage project budgets, monitor costs, and ensure profitability.
Implement effective project management methodologies, coordinating resources, schedules, and deliverables to achieve project objectives.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to specifications, quality control, and safety standards.
Resolve any project-related issues, conflicts, or disputes in a timely and professional manner.
Provide regular reports and updates on project progress to senior management and clients.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Contract Manager within the Main Contractor Construction industry.
Strong knowledge of contract management principles, including FIDIC and NEC contracts.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
Sound understanding of construction processes, regulations, and best practices.
Proficient in project management software and tools.
A degree in Construction Management or a related field is desirable, but not essential.
Professional certifications, such as RICS or CIOB, would be advantageous.
Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
