Job Description: As a Document Controller, you will play a vital role in the successful execution of projects within the Groundwork and Civils sector. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and control all project-related documents in compliance with industry standards and company procedures. You will work closely with the project team, ensuring efficient document management, maintaining accurate records, and promoting seamless collaboration among various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the entire documentation process, including document creation, distribution, tracking, and archiving.
Ensure adherence to document control procedures, maintaining consistency, accuracy, and version control.
Monitor and update project-related documents, ensuring they meet quality and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to gather, organize, and disseminate project documentation.
Implement a secure filing system to store all documents and records for easy retrieval and audit purposes.
Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and resolve any document-related issues promptly.
Liaise with project managers and key stakeholders to communicate document status, deadlines, and any potential risks.
Provide support during project meetings by preparing relevant documentation and recording minutes.
Utilize document control software and tools proficiently to streamline processes and optimize efficiency.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Document Controller or similar role within the Groundwork and Civils industry.
Proficient understanding of document management principles, standards, and best practices.
Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and requirements related to document control.
Excellent organizational skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
