Keyman Personnel, a leading specialist white-collar recruitment business, is seeking a talented and experienced Estimator to join a well-established Groundwork & Civils company on a contract basis. Responsibilities:

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather information and understand project requirements.
Conduct thorough analysis of project plans, specifications, and relevant documents to determine accurate cost estimates.
Prepare detailed and competitive estimates, including material, labor, and equipment costs.
Evaluate subcontractor quotes and negotiate pricing to ensure competitive bids.
Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing information and maintain relationships.
Assess potential risks and propose suitable contingencies in the estimates.
Prepare and present estimates to management and clients, providing clear and concise explanations of the cost breakdown.
Continuously monitor and analyze industry trends, material costs, and market conditions to maintain up-to-date knowledge.
Requirements:

Proven experience as an Estimator in the Groundwork & Civils sector.
Solid understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and best practices.
Proficient in using industry-standard estimating software and tools.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with keen attention to detail.
Strong negotiation and communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
A proactive and results-driven approach with a focus on delivering high-quality work.
Qualifications:

Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
Relevant professional certifications or memberships would be advantageous.
