We are seeking an experienced Groundworks Foreman to lead a groundworks project through to external works package. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the groundworks package, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget and to a high standard. This is a hands-on role that requires the ability to work under pressure and manage a team effectively.

Please note that it is essential to have an SMSTS for this role.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and supervise a team of groundworkers, including hiring, training, and providing ongoing support and guidance.
• Plan and coordinate all aspects of groundworks projects, including materials, equipment, and personnel.
• Ensure that all work is completed safely, within budget, and to a high standard.
• Liaise with clients and other contractors to ensure that projects are completed on time and to the required specifications.
• Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed on site, including risk assessments and the provision of appropriate PPE.
• Keep accurate records of all work carried out, including timesheets, daily logs, and reports.
• Attend site meetings and liaise with project managers to ensure that projects are progressing as planned.
• Ensure that all plant and equipment is maintained and serviced regularly.
• Identify and report any potential issues or risks to project managers and clients.

Requirements:
• Valid CSCS card and SMSTS
• Proven experience as a groundworks foreman or supervisor.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• In-depth knowledge of groundworks processes and techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients and other contractors.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Relevant qualifications in groundworks or a related field
