Role Overview:
As a Freelance Highways Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the construction of highways and related infrastructure. You will collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver high-quality designs that meet all technical and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop detailed designs for highways and associated infrastructure using relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to inform design decisions.
• Ensure all designs comply with current industry standards and regulations.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and successful project delivery.
• Provide technical advice and support during the construction phase.
• Prepare detailed project documentation, including design reports, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement design modifications as necessary.

Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Highways Design Engineer, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant tools.
• Thorough knowledge of highway design standards and regulations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional membership (e.g., ICE) is advantageous.
