Job Description: We are looking for a dedicated Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our esteemed client, a reputable Groundwork and RC Frame contractor company. As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the management and control of costs on construction projects.

Responsibilities:

Assisting the Senior Quantity Surveyor in preparing estimates, cost plans, and budgets for projects.
Assisting in the preparation and evaluation of tenders and contracts.
Conducting regular site visits to assess progress and evaluate costs.
Assisting in the negotiation and settlement of final accounts.
Analyzing costs and advising on value engineering solutions.
Assisting in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers.
Collaborating with the project team to ensure financial objectives are met.
Assisting in the preparation of monthly progress reports.
Keeping up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Requirements:

A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in industry-standard software, such as Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD.
A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
Ability to work well within a team and independently.
A desire to learn and develop within the field of Quantity Surveying.
Knowledge of Groundwork and RC Frame construction processes would be advantageous.
Contract Details:

Contract duration: [Ongoing, possible contract to perm.
Hourly/daily rate: £200 Per day
Start date: July 2023
