About the Role:
We are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our clients team. Initially joining them on a temporary basis, the right candidate will have the opportunity to transition to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee all financial aspects of our groundworks and civil engineering projects.
• Prepare tender documents, contracts, budgets, and other necessary documentation.
• Conduct cost analysis and forecasting.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure that contractual requirements are met.
• Evaluate and manage subcontractor claims and variations.
• Report on project financial performance to senior management.
• Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with regulatory and contractual standards.
Essential Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the groundworks and civil engineering sectors.
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Membership with a recognised professional body (e.g., RICS) is desirable.
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Adeptness with relevant software tools (e.g., MS Project, CostX, BuildSoft or similar).
