Job Advertisement: Quantity Surveyor (Residential Groundwork Packages) - Permanent Position
Salary: £70,000 per annum
Civil Engineering is a leading company in the field of civil engineering, specializing in residential groundwork packages. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the financial aspects of residential groundwork projects, ensuring cost-effective practices and efficient budget allocation.
Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents for residential groundwork packages.
Monitor and control project costs, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and reporting any deviations to the management.
Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers, to negotiate and secure favorable contractual terms and pricing.
Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, identify potential issues, and evaluate the accuracy of costings.
Analyze project data and produce reports highlighting cost variations, risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
Provide expert advice on contractual matters, claims, and disputes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, specifically in residential groundwork packages within the civil engineering sector.
Strong knowledge of quantity surveying techniques, measurement methods, and relevant software applications.
Proficient in preparing detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documents.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field is highly desirable.
