The Opportunity:
As a Freelance Slinger, you will play a vital role in the safe and efficient movement of materials and equipment on site, working closely with crane operators and other construction personnel. Key Responsibilities:
• Direct and guide crane operators to ensure the safe lifting, manoeuvring, and positioning of loads
• Conduct thorough pre-lift checks and risk assessments to guarantee safe lifting operations
• Rig and attach loads to the crane using appropriate slinging techniques, ensuring secure and balanced lifting
• Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations, fostering a culture of safety awareness on site
• Maintain clear and effective communication with the project team, particularly crane operators and ground workers
• Inspect and maintain lifting equipment and accessories, reporting any defects or issues promptly

Qualifications & Experience:
• Proven experience as a Slinger, preferably within the construction or civil engineering sectors
• A valid CPCS with a Slinger/Signaller endorsement is essential
• Excellent understanding of safe lifting practices and relevant health and safety regulations
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• A commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment
