Keyman Personnel is excited to recruit on behalf of our leading client. Our client prioritises sustainability and minimising local community impact in all their operations.

Following a recent award of a 7-year contract to provide comprehensive highway services to Central Bedfordshire Council, encompassing design, construction, and maintenance, we are in search of an experienced Schemes Delivery Manager. This role is pivotal in managing the carriageway and footway refurbishment programme, ensuring the highest standards of delivery and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee delivery resources to ensure the successful completion of highway and streetlighting schemes.
• Manage health, safety, environment, and quality to adhere to both company and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with the Programme Manager and Client to outline the Annual Plan/Contractor’s Plan for the portfolio.
• Direct the delivery phase of the schemes programme, optimising resource allocation for consistency and efficiency.
• Conduct design surveys/ECI meetings to agree on work values and inform commercial target costs.
• Monitor delivery costs, ensuring applications for payment align with commercial targets.
• Utilise project management tools effectively in all scheme activities.
• Drive environmental initiatives and business improvements actively.
• Support and develop direct reports to achieve required performance standards.

Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
• Proven experience managing construction scheme operational resources.
• Expertise in managing structural maintenance schemes including carriageway and footway resurfacing.
• Qualified in New Roads and Street Works Supervision and SMSTS.
• Relevant academic qualifications in construction/project management.
• Familiarity with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365, Asta, Confirm.
• Strong team working and interpersonal skills.
